Here is a pic of my Fibes snare from 70's.
Lots to do when cleaning & polishing this copper-wrap. This original wrap is copper-plated steel with some lacquer on it.
It's have had quite a hard times as seen. The bearing edges are luckily in good condition, so it doesn't ruin the great performance of this snare.
There's also this decal with hand-written s/n. Any idea when Fibes bought a stenciling set for numbering?
